Description:
The holidays…a time for good cheer, right? Maybe. The holidays can bring up a mix of emotions and pressure. We often associate the holiday season with cheerfulness, closeness of family, friends, and happiness. We can’t forget about the clients who are not having such a happy holiday. We must be equipped with the knowledge and the resources to help our clients through the holiday season. The presentation will review the following.
Learning Objective:
1. Review holiday stressors
2. Identify who is at higher risk for holiday stress
3. Review strategies for working with individuals and couples in coping with Holiday Stress.

She has over 15 combined years of experience in the counseling and psychology field. Her career began in research with Duke University Medical Center in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry division. In this role, Letitia worked with children and adolescents with mental health disorders and administered psychological inventories to children with disruptive behaviors and anxiety.
